December 19th 2004 Update:
Alafia Family, I've started pre-production on my next project. Not ready to disclose too much, just know that it is a deeper collaboration with Michael Spiro, and will feature some of our favorite artists. In the meantime you can pick up Sparlha Swa's latest CD, "In the Distance", which I produced earlier this year.

award winning Afro-Cuban singer, Lazaro Galarraga
will be performing as well as some
old ass DJ's that I love. Kevvy
Kev, David
Paul(Bomb Hip-Hop) and
coming out of retirement for two nights only DJ
Zen, yes Jeff Chang (Solesides Records).
They're all coming out to support the release of Hip-Hop
Meditations.
If you are
in the Los Angeles area, you can get to see Iyawo Carlos, at "A
Mic and Dim
Lights" in Pomona, Thursday,
April 22nd. We have hired a web
designer, so
look for a re-launch of this site in the next few weeks (Preview).

and blessings family. I have three pieces of news for
you all. First,
National distribution has been secured, so look for a
June 1st, 2004 release date for Hip-Hop
Meditations.
Second,
We have hired a web designer, so look for a

Message from Iyawo Carlos: 12/21/03
Thank
you Texas and Oklahoma for a great week and all the new
friends I've made. A mini tour with Mike McGee, Nazela, Daled, Morris
Stegasauras and
Dani, was quite exciting. Good to be back home though. Aside from
spiritual work, I've
been busy doing production work on Sparlha
Swa's
CD (think Tracy Chapman meets Sade). She is an amazing talent you
should be checking for.
Also look for Arrested Development's new CD coming in 2004 with
production work by yours
truly.
Message from Carlos: 8/27/03
What's
up family. It's good to be home after 4 months of
traveling. The weather in Oakland has been amazing... but
how about back East? You
know I was having mad flashbacks of the '77 blackout...sitting on the
stoop up all night
tellin' stories with my fam...watchin' folks walk by with brand new
TV's, stereos, etc...
anyway. I am glad to hear Sparlha Swa has been
blessing the Big Apple with her
skills... see you soon sister. NYC and Atlanta were amazing for us as
well, in fact
Noñameko is currently on tour with the Headhunters, say
Word!! I have footage of a
performance we did for TV in Atlanta, I'll have to put it online...
give me a few days...
Looks like we have the distribution thing figured out (whatever that
means)... if you are
an independent artist, you know how crazy that can be... anyway more
details soon. We will
be posting 5 tracks soon and we will be asking your for your input on
what the very first
CASAMENA single will be, so stay tuned for that...
